I am passionate about Romance languages and cultures and I teach French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and Romanian, with more than 10 years of teaching experience. I studied in France and worked in Guinea and Colombia, experiences that enriched my cultural background and that I love to share with my students. Beyond teaching, I enjoy music, reading, and cooking — interests that make my lessons more lively, human, and engaging. Fernando is a fantastic teacher. His lessons are structured around a theme, and are designed to get the student to speak as much as possible. His thoughtful questions always make for an engaging discussion, and his attentive corrections, provided in written format, are helping me to improve my speaking ability. Fernando's command of the grammatical rules in the 4 romance languages I study with him is impressive, as is his ability to easily explain the similarities/differences between these languages.
