I’m Phoenix, a university professor in Korea, husband, and father. I’m here to help you master Korean and connect with learners worldwide—or even beyond!

I have a Ph.D degree in electrical engineering from one of the top universities in South Korea, and now as a tenured full-time professor, I teach and do research in the area of electrical and information engineering. The reason I want to be your teacher is that I love teaching and having conversation with others. Also, I am planning to "live" in countries over the world, during vacations and after retirement, which motivates me to learn Spanish, Japanese, French, Italian, and German now. บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
I would like to have classes with reading, speaking, hearing practices with basic grammar for beginners and casual conversation for intermediate and advanced students. Of course, the very very first beginners would be also welcome. I will use a Wacom Tablet and Power Point to scribble the key words, drawings, summary, or whatever might help you, which I will give you as a PDF file after each class. We may discuss to find out the best way to improve your Korean language. I am good at speaking English and Spanish, therefore if needed, I might speak these languages to help you more. I'm so happy to have found Phoenix to help me learn Korean! He is creative, kind and patient. He makes sure to give the student lots of room to practice and learn. He also allows you to work things out for yourself, instead of explaining it straight away and not letting you think.
