Amine Idrissi

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Amine for over six months, and the experience has been truly transformative. When we started, I was at an A1/A2 level, and now, thanks to Amine's dedicated guidance, I’m confidently at a B2 level. We had 3-4 sessions every week, which included lots of homework, practice, speaking exercises, and focused work on improving my pronunciation. Amine also helped me focus on grammar and expand my vocabulary, often incorporating small tests during our lessons to reinforce what I had learned. As a professional linguist, he explains grammar rules in a way that is easy to understand, making even complex concepts clear and accessible. His teaching style is patient, tailored to my learning pace, and focused on my specific needs. His commitment to helping me progress has made a huge difference, and I’m excited to continue building on my skills with him! Thank you!!!

For years, I've struggled with making progress learning French as a second language. I tried different strategies, usually 'aggressive'. At one point even moving to France to take immersion classes. The lessons with Armine have been the first time that I've ever had measurable (and motivating) progress. This is in part due to his catering the course plan based on the skills I already posses combined with the one on one nature of the lessons. Giving us the time to move at the pace I'm able to as an adult learner with a job and rent etc. But a large part of the success of our lessons I think has been Amine's love of language itself. His passion for translation and the joy of words is infectious. Rather than thinking of learning French as a 'chore to be complete', for the first time in my life, I'm enjoying the process of learning and exploring the language. This feels more sustainable than the all or nothing approaches I would take before, and I have Amine to thank for that.

Amine is a true magician when it comes to teaching. He provides well-structured materials, clear explanations, and a wide variety of opportunities to practice. Having recently started my French learning journey, I can already feel the progress I’ve made after just a few lessons. Although there is still a lot of ground to cover, I am confident that my skills will improve rapidly.

Amine is not your typical language teacher. He leverages your understanding of your own language to help you master the language you want to learn. Honestly, I feel like I could teach English after studying French with him. If you're interested in going deep into the mechanics of grammar, he is the teacher you want.
