I feel so fortunate to have found Carolina. She is the best! Works with me at my level towards my goals. She uses really good materials that are very helpful. I am always happy to have had a lesson with Carolina. Siempre cinco Estrellas!

Outstanding. I chose Carolina because of how clearly she spoke in her video, making it easy for me to understand her. I also was impressed that she is a journalist. I could tell that she was a nice person. She was very helpful and knowledgeable in our first lesson. I'm going begin regular lessons with her immediately.

Carolina has a terrific track record with me. She took me from zero to expert in transcription in 16 months, and very recently she took me from failing in reading to easily understanding a PhD thesis in 14 months. Maybe some students could have done this faster, so cool! but that's how long it took me, and I'm very grateful. She has led me out of dark tunnels into the light. We have started a process to help me with comprehension of movie dialog. I'm struggling now, but I'm sure I'll be in the Space Station in several months! Carolina, you're great!

I often say similar things about my lessons with Carolina, because they're consistently true. She works me hard. I feel like my brain is getting a workout. We pick difficult material and it's slow going, but I'm learning steadily. I'm learning about the legal system in Colombia and the standards of evidence, and I'm not involved in police or legal work--these are simply topics that have caught my interest in looking at other aspects of Colombian social life. Wherever you are in your studies of Spanish, Carolina can take you higher, at whatever pace you're ready for.

Carolina and I recently finished a series of 90 readings with comprehension questions. The results are spectacular: I'm reading a PhD thesis in Spanish and can understand it with ease. I believe she saw possibilities in me even when I didn't. Today we finished our first movie segment to help me develop the ability to understand movie dialog. That has not come naturally and even a year and a half of personal viewing practice has not helped, but Carolina consistently has effective resources.

I've been celebrating lately because after 14 months of reading a series of 90 readings, I am now reading a book based on a PhD thesis, with relative ease. Also I just recorded my first Youtube episode. On the other side of the coin, I've been struggling to understand movie dialog for more than 3 years, and our lesson tonight was a shock. I'm at C1 or C2 level in several aspects of Spanish, but am only at A1 level with dialog. No wonder I haven't been able to understand movies so far! But true to form, Carolina had a series of 30 activities at hand specifically designed to help students with comprehension of dialog. We had our first session tonight.
