Hi, I’m Zachary. I’m a native English speaker from the United States, and I currently live in China. I speak Mandarin daily and have also studied French, Ancient Greek, and Latin. I’ve taught English to students of all ages—from adult learners in New York City to middle schoolers in South Korea, and kids and teens here in China. I love language, culture, and conversation. Living abroad has given me the chance to connect with people from many cultures, and I bring curiosity and thoughtfulness to every lesson I teach. Please note: I'm only accepting adult students right now. As a teacher, I’m ready to meet you where you are. I’m genuinely interested in the topics you care about, and I believe that learning works best when it connects to your real life and interests. Whether you want to refine your grammar, improve pronunciation, practice listening, or work through your next hundred vocabulary words, I’m here to help you stay focused, motivated, and make real progress. My teaching style is conversational, flexible, and focused on real communication. I adapt each lesson to your needs and goals, whether that means working through structured exercises or having open-ended conversations. I believe in helping students express their thoughts naturally through a calm, focused environment where you can feel comfortable making mistakes and learning through them. Whatever your current level, I’ll help you build fluency and precision in how you use English.
