Hello everyone. I'm Tom from Japan. I'm a Japanese native speaker and I would like to help you improve your Japanese. I look forward to meeting new students and speaking Japanese together in a relaxed way.

Prior to my teaching career, I have more than 15 year working experience in IT and educational institutions. I also have a managerial experience in business, so I can share how to use Business Japanese in various situations with you. I have taught students from different countries for more than 2,500 lessons on italki as well as provided one-on-one lessons for business persons working in Japan. I ask students to try their Japanese as much as possible to check what they can do and can't. If necessary, I will explain meanings or grammar points in English.

For many learners, I believe that time they have with the tutor for lessons is limited. I hope that you will monitor what you were able to do and what you were not able to do from lessons, then apply that to your learning outside of your lessons. As an instructor, I not only teach, but also want to be a coach to help you reach your goal as quickly as possible. Don't be afraid of making mistakes. It's part of learning.
