Hello. My name is Iva, I’m from Korea, and I love teaching! I’m a certified Korean teacher with a master’s degree in teaching Korean as a foreign language. I have taught Korean in Vietnam to those who want to enter a Korean university. I currently live in Jakarta, Indonesia.
I’m a language learner(I have learned Russian and Vietnamese in addition to English) as well as a teacher. I understand the difficulties of learning a foreign language. It is not easy, but it’s certainly worth it. I assure you it will be much easier and more fun to learn Korean with me. I’m friendly and open-minded with extensive experience abroad. I'm a caring, devoted and patient teacher. I interact closely with students, make meaningful connections and keep them motivated and engaging. The biggest advantage of my class is that I personalize my lessons and adjust the course as much as possible to suit students' own needs and interests. I try to make my lessons engaging as much as possible!

Speaking to Iva was a lot of fun and very productive. I learnt a lot of worthwhile language and grammar in order to express my self in the future. I recommend both of Iva’s classes, she’s truly an amazing teacher.

As always, Iva쌤 was prepared, patient, and purposeful with her lesson (the 3 P's). She can teach everyone from complete beginners to advanced learners. Her grammar teaching approach is great especially for intermediate learners looking to get over the "intermediate plateau". She is able to stick to Korean to explain concepts in simpler ways, without resorting to English. Highly recommend her grammar lessons!

I’ve only been learning Korean from Iva for a month and I seriously can’t believe the progress I’ve made. Her lessons are well structured (with plenty of freedom to allow for natural conversation, too) and she is an outstanding communicator who can use Korean words I already know to explain concepts and vocabulary. If it weren’t for Iva, I would be nowhere near as confident in my speaking ability and would not feel as motivated to continue learning Korean.

Iva's lessons are a challenge, but fun and engaging. We reviewed several grammar topics that I had learned a few years ago but didn't remember that well, but even though it was grammar, it felt more like a conversation. I'm looking forward to continuing lessons and hopefully making more progress!
