Marysia

I have been taking Catalan lessons with Marysia for 3 weeks now. She is one of the best instructors I have had. I highly endorse her.

I'm really happy with Marysia's lessons. She's super friendly and kind, easy to understand, and willing to work on whatever I ask. I would not say the beginning stage of learning a language is my favorite part, but I am enjoying my lessons with her and much prefer it to learning on my own.

I have worked with Marysia to learn Catalan 3 times a week for about 4 months. Starting with a level of B2 in Spanish, I can now do all basic tasks and errands in Catalan, schedule appointments over the phone, understand the radio, read all signs, understand a lot of native conversations, respond to many questions, and I have even had hour long conversations with a Catalan friend more than once. My vocabulary is still limited but I have barely studied at all outside our classes. I have enough words to communicate basic ideas and I am becoming more comfortable in speaking more and saying more complex things. She has always adjusted her style to my requests and planned lessons specifically based on what I asked her for clarification about. She found examples of A2 tests we could practice with (since that was something I was preparing for). The lessons are as enjoyable and stress free as I can imagine speaking a new language could be. The hour together goes by fast. Highly recommended.

My lessons with Marysia are awesome, everything is always well explained and she's done a great job at structuring our classes. She's always focussed, patient and a joy to speak to. She's been a great teacher to have, and I can see my skills building through our sessions!

La Marysia és la millor professora de català que he tingut mai. Sempre es pren el temps de respondre totes les meves preguntes, cosa que em motiva molt i m’ajuda enormement a complementar les seves classes amb treball en autonomia. M’ha explicat molt bé alguns punts que per a mi eren especialment difícils, i li estic molt agraïda per això. La recomano sense cap dubte i espero poder continuar les classes amb ella fins a sentir-me plenament satisfeta amb el meu nivell. Moltes gràcies per tot! Marysia is the best Catalan teacher I’ve ever had. She always takes the time to answer all my questions, which motivates me a lot and helps me greatly to complement her lessons with independent study. She explained very clearly some points that were particularly challenging for me, and I’m truly grateful for that. I highly recommend her without hesitation and I hope to continue taking lessons with her until I’m fully satisfied with my level. Thank you so much for everything!

Marysia read my introduction and goals and was prepared at the first lesson to help me in the manner I was looking for. I am working on pronunciation and she had a short but challenging reading ready for us to read out loud.
