Hey, I’m Abu from Johannesburg, South Africa but I’m originally from Mali through my father. I started teaching on italki because I have a strong passion for working on the internet and one of the ways I can do that is by helping people improve their language skills here on italki. After working in a few jobs and even at a language center, I decided that creating a path for myself online is the best choice and I’ve been happy ever since I started.
I’m very determined and I love challenges, especially those that make me a better person. Since I started, I’ve had over 1000 hours of lesson time, tutoring students from 50 different countries around the world.ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
I'm tolerant, patient, and understanding and I think these qualities are needed to teach something to someone else.
These qualities allow the student to be relaxed and comfortable during the lesson which is very important for learning.
I have a clear South African accent that is easy to understand. Depending on the level of the student, I speak at a comprehensible pace.
I know three languages: English, French and Turkish
I also love interacting with other people, having good conversations, and learning about their countries and cultures because I think it’s beneficial for me.

For my conversation classes, I have two main ways of conducting my lessons: either through a question-and-answer process based on a specific topic or with a text that we use to extract information and use as a guide for our discussions.

I offer material to help along your English learning journey as well as helpful feedback and corrections.
