Nok

Kru Nok is a fantastic teacher. I have been taking weekly lessons for the past four years. She is always perfectly on time, highly organized, prepares all the materials herself, has endless patience, and can easily explain the material in a way I can understand. She is able to teach classes entirely in Thai at a level that I can understand, no matter what my level is. I have high expectations for my teachers since I’m a university professor and have been teaching language and linguistics for over twenty years. I have learned not only Thai from kru Nok, but also ways of being a better teacher in my own courses. I highly recommend her if you are looking for an excellent learning experience.

I've been taking lessons with Kru Nok for over two years now (over 130 lessons!) and am still learning a lot from her each week. She has made learning Thai really fun + enjoyable and she has been the key to me being able to read, write and speak Thai. I'm a pretty slow language learner with not a lot of free time to practice, but she is always extremely patient, helpful and willing to go over things we've previously covered. I’ve had over a year´s worth of lessons now so I’m in a good position to write something. Khru Nok is a great teacher. She’s patient but will also try to test your abilities so each session is challenging. Every lesson is fun and rewarding - you really feel like you’re learning new things every time. She’s very professional and has lots of written and recorded material tailor-made for individuals. She’s also very funny (if you like your lessons to be full of humour). I can wholeheartedly recommend her - I started out speaking zero Thai and now I can speak it at a ok conversational level and I can also read it (slowly แน่นอน)

I would highly recommend Kru Nok to anyone looking for a structured yet flexible learning experience. She is patient and explains concepts very clearly, often using multiple examples to make sure I fully understand. What I particularly appreciate is how she tailors examples to my interests — for example, incorporating Thai series into our lessons — which makes learning much more engaging and relevant. Her lessons follow a textbook, so there is a clear structure and progression, but she also expands naturally based on our conversations. This balance makes the classes feel both organized and personalized. After each class, she provides helpful materials, including texts and audio, which are great for revision and reinforcement. She is also very understanding and accommodating when it comes to rescheduling, especially when I’m unwell. Overall, Kru Nok is a thoughtful, well-prepared, and supportive teacher. I’ve made consistent progress with her and always look forward to our lessons.
