Hi there! I'm Malcolm. I come from Nova Scotia, on the east coast of Canada, and now I live in Montreal. I grew up speaking both English and French at home: my father is Belgian, my mother is (anglophone) Canadian. I've always loved languages, and I'm learning Dutch and Italian myself. Among my hobbies are reading, writing, playing music, hiking, and cooking. I have an Honours degree in Classics, for which I studied Latin and Ancient Greek, plus ancient and medieval philosophy. I studied quite a bit of modern philosophy too. I've also worked as a student translator from Latin to English.

I took several French classes with Malcolm during my preparation for the TCF Canada exam. He helped me develop my speaking skills and gain confidence to speak about a diverse set of topics. Every class was different and tailored to my needs. Thanks to him, I was able to get a B2 at the TCF Canada and now he’s helping me prepare for job interviews. I've been able to improve my French a lot after several lessons with Malcolm, especially my speaking skills.
