I am brand new to learning Japanese and so it is a huge advantage to have a native Japanese speaker who is an excellent English speaker as my teacher. Riku has studied abroad as well, so I feel more comfortable just being myself without having to worry about saying something that might, unbeknownst to me, offend someone who is from a different culture than me. I appreciate both Riku's ability to teach me Japanese and his straightforward commentaries about Japanese culture and customs that I have been curious about! I would recommend Riku to anyone!
