I’ve been studying Russian with Slava for some time now. I am very satisfied with his teaching and will continue with him. He is passionate about learning languages and teaching Russian. We discuss a wide variety of topics while he helps improve my grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. In addition he is very enthusiastic and fun to learn with. I recommend him highly!

Sometimes I worry a bit when I schedule a 90-minute session with a tutor I haven't gotten to know all that well, but you need not worry about that with Slava. He is a consummate professional who effortlessly guides you through your Russian lesson, step by step. As you progress through your lessons, he starts to get a feel for how much Russian you know and intuitively begins applying that to your lesson so that the lesson is challenging, but not too challenging (or too easy). You may encounter instructors who would gladly charge you a king's ransom just to teach you the Cyrillic alphabet over and over again. Slava is definitely not one of those. Don't misunderstand me. He does cover the basics, because they are important, but he will quickly take you beyond just the basics. To summarize this in just a few words, Slava delivers excellent value for the price.
