Hello, my name is Kaori. I am originally from Japan, but have been living in beautiful Istanbul, Turkey for the past 14 years.
When I moved to Turkey, the only Turkish word I knew was “Merhaba”, which means “hello”. But now I can speak Turkish fluently. Turkish people love to communicate with others so it makes my life more fun!
I can also speak Japanese, English, Russian, Turkish sign language and Farsi.
I enjoy traveling, visiting museums, listening to music, playing the guitar and painting. I also love cats so living in Istanbul is great as there are many friendly cats that share the streets and parks with people here.ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
I have experience teaching Japanese at several language schools in Istanbul as well as teaching students privately. I have taught beginner students as well as advanced students who were interested in learning conversation.บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
In my lesson we will learn grammar based on a text book called, “Minna no Nihongo”, including hiragana, katakana, and kanji.
However, if you are not interested in reading or writing Japanese, I can also teach using the Latin alphabet.
I will also teach you conversational Japanese and we will practice everyday conversation.

I had a great time learning with Kaori-Jan for an upcoming trip to Japan. I was a complete beginner and has taught me so much in the past few months. She really caters to specific needs-- no lesson is the same and the way she teaches forces you to think about the language and really learn it as opposed to just memorizing phrases out of a textbook. Japanese is a hard language to learn but she makes it interesting and fun.

I just had my first lesson with Kaori and I am very satisfied with how it went. She is a very positive and smiley person and she encourages the student to express themselves in Japanese. She is patient and waits to intervene when the student is having trouble, giving them time to think first. The thing I appreciated most about her was her professionalism and her way to mix understandable language with a bit more advanced language that gives the student more of a challenge.
