My name is Fred Kuhr 🏳️🌈, and I'm a dual U.S./Canada citizen 🇨🇦🇺🇸originally from New York City 🌉, now living in Toronto, Canada. I'm a former high school English teacher as well as an award-winning actor and filmmaker. My interests include current events, pop culture, movies, music and physical fitness. In fact, I'm a certified personal trainer and have been working in the fitness industry for over 15 years.ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
As a former high school English teacher, I know that you have to meet students where they are and use materials that interest them in order to reach them. I also know that different students learn differently; that is, some respond better to listening while others are better with seeing information. So I like to tailor lessons to individual students depending on what methods will work best and keep students motivated. บทเรียนและรูปแบบการสอนของฉัน
My teaching style is upbeat and energetic, injected with humor. I know that if I'm bored, the student will be too. So I can't be boring. Language learning should be fun anyway, since learning a language also unlocks a new culture. I like to use materials that are already out there in the culture - whether that's children's books, magazines, newspapers, movies or music - to showcase culture along with language. And as a dual U.S./Canadian citizen, I understand the cultures of both countries.สื่อการสอนของฉัน

The teacher didn’t just talk a lot but asked me questions, so I felt like I was the one holding the ball in the conversation. Because the teacher listened patiently without rushing me, I could speak calmly without feeling pressured. The lesson was fun, the teacher was kind and friendly, and I learned natural English expressions through casual conversation. I’d love to take another lesson again.

I'm thankful for this tremendous conversational English class with Fred! He listened to me patiently without judging and he gave me the chance to ask him any questions that I wanted to ask which is cool! He encouraged me to speak as much as possible in English and recieve answers on my questions! It was a great class in general! He said that I was the first student from the Far East of Russia and he was interested to visit Russia in the future! It was nice to meet him and I hope to see him again soon to practice more!
