Mi nombre es santiago Rojas. Vivo in Caripito Moragas, Venezuela, un hermoso pueblo rodeado de montañas y ríos. Tengo un certificado ELE para enseñar el español con varios años de experiencia enseñando a adultos. Soy especialista en la enseñanza de destrezas conversacionales para adultos de niveles intermedios y avanzados, y amo lo que hago! Siento que la mejor forma de aprender un idioma es hablarlo de forma natural. Aquí en Venezuela, soy ingeniero mecánico . Mis pasatiempos son bailar, jugar a baloncesto, jugar a video juegos, ver películas y escuchar música.

Tengo mucha paciencia con mis estudiantes. Te ayudaré a tener confianza a la hora de hablar el español. Es imposible aprender a hablar un idioma sin hablarlo, por eso mis clases son enfocadas principalmente en desarrollar tus destrezas conversacionales. Una de las razones principales por lo que los sistemas educacionales alrededor del mundo están fallando es porque se enfocan demasiado en enseñar la gramática por ejercicios escritos y la memorización de listas de vocabulario. Siempre es mejor aprender vocabulario y la gramática en contexto, por hablar, escuchar, leer, y cometer errores en el proceso. Me gusta usar diálogos, periódicos, poemas y ejercicios de conversación de muchos temas diferentes, así aprenderás un vocabulario más amplio. Me gusta enfocarme en las habilidades gramaticales, creo que es necesario que los estudiantes aprendan a construir oraciones.

Second meeting with Santiago and he was amazing! He was very accommodating to last minute changes I needed to make and kept the conversation going. He made sure to correct my pronunciation and ensured I understood what was going on. I definitely notice my conversation skills improving and he is very encouraging and supportive. Can’t wait for the next one!
