It was wonderful! Sylvain is an encouraging, patient, and supportive teacher. I just took a trial lesson with him, and he was very attentive as we talked and got to know one another. Our conversation flowed, and I could tell that he was really listening to me. I definitely recommend him to everyone learning French!

I tried various conversation teachers on iTalki but ended up with Sylvain because I actually prefer someone NOT to correct me continuously or fixate on notes/grammar. My speaking level is relatively high but I need to improve fluency, and constant correction makes it hard to communicate. Also, I enjoy having a teacher who is closer to my age, as many on iTalki are super young.
