I’m Lucas, a native English speaker born and raised in London, currently living in Brazil. Being fluent in both English and Portuguese allows me to help students feel more comfortable communicating naturally and confidently in both languages. I’m currently studying Dentistry at a Brazilian university and have previous experience tutoring English and Portuguese students. I’ve always enjoyed languages and teaching, especially because I love meeting people from different cultures and helping them achieve their goals. My lessons are mainly conversation-focused because I believe speaking naturally is one of the best ways to improve a language. We can discuss topics such as culture, travel, films, music, hobbies, or anything that interests you while improving pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, fluency, and sentence structure. I also like introducing idioms, slang, and expressions commonly used by native speakers so students can sound more natural in real-life situations. My goal is to create relaxed, engaging, and personalized lessons where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace, and I do my best to make this usually hard task less challenging by speaking clearly and being patient, maintaining a friendly, informative, and informal atmosphere during classes. This is my second lesson with Lucas. I am still very happy. He is a patient teacher. We reviewed the prononciation of few words. As I am french it’s complicated for me to pronounce complicated words in English so I thank you Lucas for helping me to pronounce these words and he also sent me the audios of these difficult words - this is very helpful for me 😊

The classes with Lucas are out of this world! It's just amazing. Out of a rate from 0 to 10, I would give him 100! I believe wholeheartedly that he is one of the best teachers here. I totally recommend him.
