Finding the right tutor is not easy. You want someone whom you feel comfortable with, enjoy speaking with, can learn a lot, can meet your availability etc. I'm so happy that I met Eva because I don't have to look anywhere else anymore for an Indonesian (and even Javanese!) tutor!

Eva is very patient, and gives good examples. And encourages you to translate sentenses in bahasa jawa.

she is an effective, yet tough teacher, with a fun, yet challenging conversational style! Eva's teaching style is a great checkpoint to use in conjunction with my notes from other teachers. It was my first lesson in Indonesian this year today. As always, Eva was patient and helpful throughout the lesson and I’m motivated to start another year of learning Indonesian with her. She speaks slowly and clearly so that I have time to process what she is saying, gives me thorough explanations and examples for new words and expressions, often expands on one word to introduce related words, kindly provides corrections while listening to me speak with great patience, provides various interesting topics and she is very friendly and easy to talk to. I’ve never looked anywhere else for an Indonesian tutor since I started taking her lessons. Thank you Eva as always!
