Melanie is an excellent teacher. As this was my first time learning Chinese, Melanie helped me to begin building my vocabulary with the absolute basics. I very much enjoyed learning Chinese through speaking, especially because Melanie was very patient and repeated the same words / phrases as many times as I needed to be reminded. Melanie is very pleasant and able to talk about interesting things with an absolute beginner, and she was able to help me to express the meaning of what I was trying to say with simple words. I suggest her as a teacher for any English speaker who wants to learn Chinese!

Another great lesson! We discussed word difference, idioms, made stories and sentence fillers. Her explanations are great and she provide reference material to help clarify hard to understand concepts. I definitely recommend her to be your teacher.
