Laurene is a superb teacher, at the moment I am learning the diffrent forms of the past. She explained it so well to me and sent me very helpful material. Last not least she is such a friendly person, so learning with her is always a joyful time!

Laurène and I worked on an article from Le Monde. It was a little difficult but we had excellent conversations on the vocabulary: not just the simple translations but its contemporary usage and in many cases its relation to an English word. This really helps me to remember and understand the word in context. And, if you're reading this for the first time, Laurène and I have been working together for over four years. That should say it all!

Laurene is a very skilled teacher. She listens intently, gives very good corrections, and explains the nuances of the language very well. She also provides very clear examples to clarify phrases, words, and expressions. Laurene is really super!

Today I spent most of the time talking about my various travels. Laurène guided me along with comments and questions. We took side trips to discuss a word or expression. I like challenging her with US English expressions to see what she comes up with. We never got to the news article we were working on!. What a pleasant hour.

Today’s lesson was fun. We discussed the many words and expression I’ve seen on reels of « speak French like the French ». It was fun to get Laurene’s perspective on them. Then we continued reading and translating — also a lot of helpful fun.
