Aoi

This month marks my 3 years of lessons with Aoi-sensei and I can’t thank her more in my Japanese learning journey, especially in speaking. Her lessons have became a part of my life and even though I have completed the N1 exam with my school in 2023, I still attend conversation classes with Aoi-sensei because each lesson, I learn something new. Be it a new word, another way of using this Japanese grammar, or even just to hear me speak in my Japanese about my day, she has been there for me the last 3 years and also one of the reasons why I improved so fast. To anyone out there who is considering conversation classes with Aoi-sensei, please do so because you will not regret it!

Aoi-san has helped me quite a lot over the past years - as my Japanese has become more natural-sounding, smoother, and more practical. Because she is easygoing and kind, she allows me a lot of space to grow my confidence in learning the language. She conducts her lesson entirely in Japanese; she gives corrections as needed, only in opportune moments. Aoi-san also has a great sense of when to shift topics, or when to delve deeper - allowing the conversation to flow more freely. あおいさん was very helpful! We spent most of our time in our lessons practicing speaking and going over words that I wasn’t familiar with or sentence structures that I was having a hard time with. Each lesson we’d go through similar discussions with variations and it was very helpful to get me comfortable speaking 日本語 again :)

Had my first lesson with Aoi-sensei and it was great! She gave really great prompts for conversations and it was very fun :) Looking forward to more lessons!
