Nara san is so kind and easy to speak to, and I find her lesson style very helpful. She is very patient and understanding, I would recommend her classes to anyone looking to practice their Japanese, especially if you feel nervous or shy, she will definitely help you feel at ease.

When looking for a teacher on italki, I recommend people look at how many lessons the reviewers have taken with the teacher. Students don't praise teachers through ratings, they praise them by coming again and again. If you find such a teacher, you too might come again and again. At this point, I have had over 150 lessons with Nara sensei and I keep coming back for more. I find Nara sensei to be incredibly supportive and kind. She continually helps me express the things that are of interest to me and are happening around me. The last time I went to Japan, my relatives were very surprised at how well I was able to express myself. Yet, I can't wait to go back and talk about all the topics I have learned to talk about since that visit. All this is thanks to Nara sensei.

I have very poor reading comprehension, but Nara sensei was able to identify my weaknesses and adjust the material I n accordance with my skill. She is patient when I have tech issues, and is always willing to work with me. 10/10 fantastic teacher!

I’ve been taking lessons with Nara-sensei for several months now for N1 JLPT prep, and she’s amazing at making the material more enjoyable! Test prep can get quite boring at times, but Nara sensei is great at picking material that’s varied between grammar/vocab/listening, while still adding littles chats so that we take breaks between the more academic, literary material. She’s also very responsive and reliable, so 200% recommend her to anyone looking to improve their Japanese in a challenging but fun way!

Nara is kind and patient. I always enjoy er classes and she is extremely gracious with my lack of reading comp. She is quick to correct mistakes, but gentle, and regularly gives me more natural ways of expressing myself in the target language. I would whole heartedly rec her to anyone looking for a well informed and tech savvy instructor!
