Akiko

Akiko Sensei is kind, intelligent, and so patient. She is a wonderful teacher. She patiently and professionally helped me through numerous mistakes I made as I tried to speak. As we conversed, she produced a google doc, documenting my mistakes with corrections, as well as grammar points and vocabulary, so that I could study them later. She was careful to make sure I understood each. She also used excellent prepared materials to review the grammar points with examples. She encouraged me, and I felt really comfortable despite my obvious weaknesses. Her communication skills were excellent and I was surprised how well I could understand her. The most surprising thing is that in each class, we both laughed several times! I wasn’t expecting her wonderful personality and sense of humor. Yes, I actually had fun. Her gentle style of teaching is perfect for me. I’m really fortunate to have her in my corner! I know she will help me succeed in improving my Japanese.

Akiさん's grammar lessons are super clear and easy to understand, with tons of exercises in class, so it was easy for me to remember and practice along the way!

Akiko san is just the best! I've been taking lessons with her for a while now and we have so much fun chatting and laughing while learning Japanese. She does such a great job of meeting me at my level, and my speaking has improved a lot with her help. I find I'm more confident when talking with Akiko san because she makes it so fun, I want to speak more. You really should try a lesson with her!

Akiko San is a perfect Japanese conversation partner. She is always extremely well-prepared for the lesson, explains things well, and has a warm and kind personality. These three things together make for a wonderful one hour of conversation.
