Jooah is one of the best Korean teachers on italki. She is patient, passionate, and genuinely cares about her students. You can really feel that she wants you to improve and succeed. She adapts every lesson to your level, making it challenging enough to help you progress without ever feeling overwhelming. She can teach students from beginner to advanced level, and her conversations are always fun, interesting, and engaging. Jooah has an excellent understanding of Korean grammar and, most importantly, explains it clearly to foreign learners. She also provides detailed notes after each lesson, making it easy to review and consolidate what you have learned. If you are serious about learning Korean, I highly recommend her. Her lessons will help you improve enormously and speak Korean more naturally, correctly, and fluently in real-life situations.

I have been studying with Jooah for a couple of years, and earlier this year I decided I wanted to take the TOPIK I test. When I shared this with Jooah, she encouraged me right away and provided so many materials to help me prepare. We covered all the grammar points required for the exam, and her notes are incredibly thorough, weaving in plenty of vocabulary alongside the grammar. I also worked through practice exams on the official TOPIK website, and Jooah would review the parts I found difficult and explain how to approach those types of questions. What really stood out to me was that partway through my preparation, Jooah was in an accident and had to take time off to focus on her recovery. Even so, she still made time to answer my questions whenever I had them. That level of care and dedication, even while she was healing, says everything about what kind of teacher she is. I ended up scoring 195/200, and I owe a huge part of that to Jooah's teaching and support.

주아 선생님 is very knowledgeable about different topics so I always get to learn a lot while studying with her! We have been preparing for TOPIK and compared to when I studied by myself, each day I feel like I am getting closer to my goal. Thanks to 주아 쌤's patience, discipline and kindness, achieving TOPIK 6급 seems more possible to me now!
