Hello, my name is Melissa, but you can call me Mel! I am a young, enthusiastic ESL teacher from Johannesburg, South Africa. I am very passionate about teaching and would love to help you improve your confidence in English. I am a Law graduate, currently doing a Master's in Intellectual Property Law. I have a 120-hour TESOL Certificate. I have over two years’ teaching experience, teaching both children and adults. I believe that respect is the best policy, therefore I treat all of my students with respect. I am a very patient, kind, and approachable teacher. My students can feel free to be themselves and talk to me about anything. My goal as a teacher is to help improve all my students' confidence with English. I will be focusing on conversational English, Grammar, pronunciation, and English Fluency. Lessons with me are conversational. I believe that students learn best when they are free and comfortable to just be themselves. I understand that each student learns differently; therefore, my lessons are each structured differently, to suit each individual's unique set of needs. Do not be shy to make mistakes; in my class, mistakes are all part of the process. We can have a conversation about current affairs, travel, sport, food, entertainment, or anything that appeals to a student.
