Hello! I’m Ashley, a warm and enthusiastic English tutor from the vibrant city of Johannesburg, South Africa. While my academic background is in Electrical Engineering—I earned my Bachelor of Technology degree from Tshwane University of Technology, I’ve discovered my true calling lies in teaching and connecting with people through language. My engineering training helps me approach tutoring with clarity and structure, but what truly fuels my passion is seeing students gain confidence in their English skills. Whether you’re struggling with conversation, preparing for an important job interview, or just want to feel more comfortable expressing yourself, I create a relaxed, judgment-free spaceฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
As a tutor, my focus is on breaking down difficult concepts in a way that allows students to better understand their course material. As a community tutor, I provide casual conversation practice to help students improve their pronunciation and fluency. Speaking is one of the most important skills when learning and acquiring a language. My lessons also include grammar correction, vocabulary building, sentence construction, and reading practice.
I understand that speaking English can cause anxiety for many students, so my lessons focus on building confidence and helping learners overcome the fear of speaking English in everyday situations or in public.
