Megumi

I'm a very picky student and find it quite difficult to choose a teacher; I tried four or five teachers before I chose Megumi-sensei. By now I've taken more than a few lessons with Megumi-sensei, and I've thoroughly enjoyed each one of them. I plan on continuing to study with her as I prepare to conduct my grad-school research in Tokyo some time in the near future. Megumi-sensei's classes are very thoughtful (often including material I've mentioned I'm interested in!) and helpful (adjusting not just to my general level of Japanese, but also to how skillful I'm feeling on a particular day), and she has a wonderful personality that always encourages me to keep learning. I really recommend her!

Megumi is great! She clearly has many years of experience as a teacher. I have been studying languages for a long time and Megumi is excellent at crafting appropriate lessons for me. She is also a polyglot and can explain concepts in English or Spanish depending on your needs. I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Megumi immediately immersed me into the world of the Japanese language. Even if at first I found myself without a compass, through repetition and breaking down of sentences and concepts I finally understood the basics of first times introductions. It was overall a lot of fun and I am looking forward to the next lessons.

Great lesson

Megumi Sensei was fantastic in my first lesson. It was conducted 100% in Japanese, but she spoke clearly and slowly so that I understood everything. When I made a mistake, Megumi repeated the phrase in correct Japanese. I can't wait to start taking my proper lessons with her.
