eriko

Eriko-sensei is easily my favorite Japanese teacher I have had since I began my journey to learn Japanese 5 years ago (and I have had a few since they either stopped teaching or were not a good fit for me). She is very caring and attentive to the needs of the student and tailors the lesson around what they need to succeed. She is also a very kind person. I highly recommend anyone no matter what level you are at to work with Eriko-sensei as it can only make you better.

I have been studying Japanese for 5+ years and Eriko-sensei is very skilled at both spotting and filling in my gaps in grammar and vocabulary. She always takes the time to give me homework and feedback. I've been a teacher myself for more than ten years, so I'm a very picky student, but Eriko-sensei is clearly a skilled and dedicated teacher and I'm lucky to have found her. Thank you, Eriko-sensei!

I had a wonderful first lesson with Eriko-sensei. She is so friendly and easy to talk to. When I didn’t understand a word, she typed it out and explained what it means in an easy to understand way. I look forward to learning more from her. (:

Estoy muy contenta con mi progreso en japonés. :) Las clases son dinámicas, amenas y están bien estructuradas, lo que hace que se avance sin sentir frustración o bloqueo. Eriko siempre ofrece materiales variados que realmente ayudan a entender y practicar el idioma. Además, tiene muchísima paciencia y sabe motivar, lo cual marca una gran diferencia. Después de haber intentado aprender japonés un par de veces en los últimos años sin éxito, por primera vez siento que realmente estoy aprendiendo. ありがとう Erikoさん！

I've only had a trial lesson so far, but I really enjoyed my lesson with Eriko. She went through the first chapter of Genki I with me to give both of us a better idea as to what I remembered from a past, beginner Japanese class, and she was very patient with me throughout the chapter. She never got frustrated or tried to move too fast. She moved to the next topic only when she was sure I understood the current one. She was also nice, respectful, punctual, and it was clear she was prepared for our lesson. She also never got off track or tried to fill the lesson time with things that were unimportant. Additionally, she sent me a website to study/review Genki materials afterwards. Overall, Eriko was great, and I will be booking another lesson!

Eriko es una profesora paciente y agradable. El año y pico que llevo tomando sus clases lo he disfrutado mucho y he aprendido a buen ritmo.
