Haruka Takoyakichan

Thank you for another great class! Haruka is an excellent teacher. She has a wonderful personality and is patient, which makes you feel comfortable learning a new language and making mistakes. She is very well prepared with excellent slides and is very good at explaining grammar. I always look forward to my next class.

I've had three lessons with Haruka so far and I've been really impressed by her as a teacher. She's incredibly well organized and professional while also being a very pleasant and fun person to talk with. I'm learning a lot and the lessons feel like time is flying by. Before taking her classes, I was worried that transitioning from a group course to italki might be a challenge for the teacher to know where to pick up topic-wise, but with Haruka it hasn't been an issue at all. Very much looking forward to our next lessons!

I've been working through Genki 1 and 2 with Haruka for the past several months. Haruka's enthusiasm and dedication are evident in the well prepared material and itineraries for each lesson. Even more importantly, Haruka's kind and patient disposition helps disarm the intimidation factor that is usually present when learning a new language.
