Lucia is the best Italian teacher on Italki. She’s incredibly supportive, kind and a very interesting person to talk to. I struggled today but she was able to guide me through kindly correcting my mistakes and giving me very useful tips on how to improve my speaking skills. She is very attentive to every little ditale and makes me correct my own mistakes first before giving me the correct answer. It’s incredibly useful. Grazie mille per tutto Lucia. It’s great to have conversations with Lucia. We do just 30-minutes and that’s fully enough for me at the moment as it still requires a lot of focus from me.. But Lucia really makes me speak and corrects me afterwards. It’s a fun experience

Lucia is an amazing instructor. I've been working with her for two years and I still enjoy meeting with her every week. She's enthusiastic, encouraging and gentle with her corrections. We've explored many different parts of the Italian language and culture including holidays, historical events and contemporary societal topics. She'll write down corrections and grammar we discussed in a shared document, which allows me to review after the lesson. She listens to me and creates lessons based on what I want to learn. I've gone from barely being able to comprehend and form sentences to being able to have full discussions!

I have spent 2 years learning Spanish on my own--trying lots of different programs including italki. But, I could not find a qualified teacher. One who was truly interested in teaching and could teach, who was patient and kind and able to assess the situation and pivot as needed. Who cared about my goals. Since Lucia was recommended by a trusted friend, I gave her a try. I have had 3 conversations with Lucia so far and am amazed at her teaching skills. As a retired teacher, I appreciate good teaching! Based on my request, we use very little English (my first language) during our meetings, which means I miss A LOT! Lucia is patient and willing to restate, in Spanish, to help me understand. When we use English, it is kept to a minimum. Her notes ARE FANTASTIC! I cannot speak highly enough about this. I am able to review our conversations with ease. This allows me to be intentional in my daily review --which I have never been able to do before. Meet Lucia! She's great!
