It is always fun talking with Akiko-sensei! It feels like catching up with a friend rather than studying, which is perfect for me. I can practice using Japanese in a natural way and learn vocabulary and grammar in a real context.

I’ve been taking lessons with Akiko Sensei for over a year and I’m so pleased she is my teacher! I have recently started university studying Japanese and Akiko tailors and structures my lessons based on the grammar we will be studying class, so I am able to practice and understand prior to my university class. Speaking Japanese can be very daunting and scary, but I feel comfortable speaking and testing out my Japanese with Akiko wherever I can. Akiko will create a comfortable atmosphere and environment for learning Japanese. Akiko is patient and very gentle, just try out your Japanese and each time you will make progress! あきこ先生、本当にありがとうございます！

Akiko-san has made this journey learning Japanese so uplifting! I was intimidated at first to learn the Japanese language and so glad I started with sensai. Akiko-san encourages me to keep fighting and not to worry about making mistakes. It means a lot to have a teacher who is not only patient, but she also believes in her students to have the confidence to achieve their goals! Akiko-san also has so many great teaching materials that are so helpful in and outside of class! Her classes are fun, organized, and interactive. Time flys by whenever I have a lesson! Todays class we did review with speaking practice, Hiragana writing practice, new vocabulary, and now starting to learn how to tell and ask the time. I am looking forward to our future lessons. Thank you Akiko-san for all your hard work!
