Hello, I'm Jiae, a dedicated Korean language tutor from Busan, South Korea, and currently based in Berlin, Germany. With a strong foundation in early childhood education and experience teaching over 100 students, I specialise in delivering structured yet engaging Korean language lessons tailored to all proficiency levels—from beginners mastering fundamentals to advanced learners refining fluency.
My academic background includes a Master's degree funded by the South Korean government, which I pursued in London. I am currently a PhD candidate in Political Science, focusing on gender and intersectionality with a research emphasis on North Korean refugees and migrants.ฉันในฐานะผู้สอน
I have a bachelor's degree in Early childhood education 👶👦👧 and thus have had wonderful experiences of teaching and playing with children as well as youth in my spare time when I was still in South Korea.
About teaching Korean, I have happened to teach more than 30 students and look forward to meeting more people passionate about learning Korean with me here on Italki! 🤴👸

I prepare every lesson based on a customized manner for each student.
🔊 Depending on your needs, I optimise learning materials and design the curriculum.
I use visual, auditorial resources based on text. I love receiving questions from students and spontaneously go in-depth so I embrace the needs of students.
⌚ Within a lesson, it will be divided into mainly four parts: reviewing what we did, learning new expressions and vocabulary, grammar, and free talking or practising speaking together.

I’ve been having lessons with 지애 선생님 for just over three months now and I would definitely recommend to anyone serious about improving their Korean. She is very diligent and If there’s something you’re struggling with she’s very good at explaining it in a number of ways until you understand! I feel much more confident using advanced grammars now and I’m looking forward to our future lessons!!!:)
