I am from the South West of France. I am currently living in sunny Lisbon, Portugal.
I am a serious and hilarious teacher at the same time.
Through working with Italki, l feel l have enhanced my teaching ability. I have also developed my communication skills, and l am now able to showcase strong skills in clear communication, adaptability and flexibility, and in promoting the love of learning my language.
As a teacher, I will create discussions for my students, where they can put their knowledge into practice, develop their own views on classroom content, and consolidate what they’ve learned.

I teach from beginner to advanced, and I am good at teaching all age ranges, from 6 - 50+ years old! I look forward to meeting you.
My goal as a teacher is to improve my student’s education and help them grow knowledgably. I like to see students at different levels develop with each other and learn. I want to challenge the students and watch them grow to their highest level of education. Therefore, having the students interacting with me is the best educational strategy. I want my students to have freedom with whatever creativity they want, and to allow them to express themselves at any time. I am a native French speaker and therefore all words and expressions come naturally to me. Although I am not a native speaker of the English language, and despite my French twang, I speak English perfectly.
I have experience in preparing for DEFL diplomas (levels B1 and B2) and in preparing for the First Certificate.
Please join my class and seize the opportunity to learn one of the most beautiful languages in the world with an amazing teacher. There is no doubt in my mind that you will be making some quick progress within months. Learning languages is a long process, but l will try my upmost to teach you French in 3 -4 months. I am beginner level in French and François is perfect for me. Half of our lesson is a more formal teaching with books and videos, and another half is more informal conversation. Since I have very limited vocabulary, François writes down everything I am trying to say. This way he does not stress me, but at the same time he encourages me to work harder on my French.

Francois is an excellent teacher! Highly recommended - he is a great listener, and knows how to keep the conversation going. He corrects your mistakes, but in a subtle way that does not make you hesitate to explore more advanced linguistic constructions. He’s very encouraging.
