Juri

He aprendido mucho desde que empecé, y ahora puedo estructurar oraciones básicas hablando, escribiendo, y leyendo un poco. Al poder hacer esto, me gusta mucho que じゅり usa los ejercicios de audio porque te expone más al languaje. También me gusta mucho que ella va poco a poco conmigo con el audio cuando se me hace difícil entender lo que estoy escuchando. I have learned a lot since I first started, and now I can structure basic sentences by talking, writing, and reading a little bit. Being able to do this, I love that じゅり sometimes uses listening exercises because it further exposes you to the language. I also love that she breaks down the audio and goes over it with me little by little when it's hard for me to understand what I'm hearing.

Juri is the best Japanese teacher on italki. She is patient during conversations, uses real life examples and materials and is open to studying/explaining anything the student wants. Her fluent English and understanding of western culture enable her to explain grammar and concepts in an easy to understand way.

I highly recommend my Japanese teacher, Juri! A few months ago, I decided to follow my dream and start learning Japanese. I’d always loved hearing it in shows and music, but learning on my own never worked. After finding Juri online and reading the great reviews, I gave it a shot—and I’m so glad I did. From the first lesson, I could introduce myself and understand basic tenses. Every class is fun and engaging! Juri is so dedicated, both during and after lessons. I've been taking regular lessons with Juri for the last 5-6 months now and am very happy with my choice of teacher. I started with zero knowledge of the Japanese language, but felt I had good guidance to now being able to speak (a little bit), read and write hiragana and katakana, and some kanji. Juri expects that I take my studies seriously, but I never feel pressured if I can’t finish something or forget some words here and there, which helps me feel comfortable with the learning process and lets me enjoy learning without worrying too much about mistakes or pronunciation holding me back. Now that I understand the basics, she focuses more on conversation at the beginning of each lesson and notes down any vocabulary I don’t know so I can study it afterward. This has been incredibly helpful, as speaking a new language has always been a hurdle for me, but I feel comfortable and at ease during our lessons. I can’t wait to speak Japanese fluently one day! ありがとうございました、先生！
