Hi there! My name is Fareeda, and I’m an English tutor from South Africa. I’m a native Afrikaans speaker and fluent in English. I hold a 120-hour TESOL certificate and have worked as a field researcher in Linguistics, which gave me deep insights into the English language and how it's used in real-life settings.
I enjoy helping students build confidence in their speaking, listening, and overall communication skills. Whether you're just starting your English journey or working on fluency, I’m here to support you with patience and encouragement.

My first lesson with Fareeda was precisely what I was looking for: an introduction to conversation in Afrikaans. She is an engaging, bright and very helpful conversation partner. Very knowledgeable and very careful to make sure that I understood everything that was saying. I would highly recommend Fareeda to anyone who is interested in the Afrikaans language and the situation of multilingualism in South Africa.

Fareeda is very nice, friendly and easy to approach. She definitely is a very responsible teacher and makes careful preparations for her classes. What impressed me most was that she didn’t rush the class and let it to end naturally. We had so pleasant a session. I felt spontaneously pretty close to her. I’ll for sure take more of her classes and highly recommend her to you.

I am taking Afrikaans lessons with Fareeda and I had to check all of the markers because her lessons was well put together and her materials were arranged in a perfect order for beginners. Not only do you hear the words repeatedly but she test your memory by making you practice them shortly after hearing them several times. I highly recommend her if you are an English speaker who wants to learn Afrikaans!
