Jerian is a very nice teacher. At this point i didnt know any finnish but he encouraged me to start learing them. Best teacher

As always, Jerian is prepared, kind, efficient, and thorough. It is a pleasure learning with him.

Jerian is so consistently helpful and thoughtful about his lessons. He is always prepared, yet is also always ready to follow a conversation topic if needed--if we suddenly stray into the use of a different particle than we had intended to discuss, no problem. His Herculean knowledge base and quick ability to pivot makes the impromptu discussions as valuable and interesting as the planned ones. His homework is always interesting and challenging, but I always feel like we collaborated on it by the end. If you are looking to learn Finnish or Swedish, you've found your teacher.

Today was a great lesson. Jerian is endlessly patient and understanding, and his humor and kindness as well as his incredibly thorough understanding of the inner workings of Finnish make his lessons a pleasure and a challenge that makes me want to keep learning. Finnish is bananas. I'm lucky to be learning with him.

I like our discussions very much. I love the fact that I can talk about my interests in my target language, not just some generic topics! Such a great teacher!
