I’m a native speaker of English who was born and raised in the state of New York in the USA. I've worked as a teacher and editor/proofreader for over ten years. I've lived and worked in several countries. Most of the time was in countries where Russian is spoken (Eastern Europe and Central Asia), so I understand the Russian language and the cultures of the regions were people speak Russian (Russia, Ukraine, Central Asia, etc). I love learning, teaching, and helping others learn and develop.

I am optimistic, patient, understanding and try to have a good sense of humor. I also have high expectations and challenge my students to do their best. I teach students (age 12 and up) from pre-intermediate to advanced levels (A2-C2), and students who speak Russian starting from A1 level. My teaching philosophy is student centered and focused on your goals. From the first lesson, we will focus on your learning goals, and we will make a plan to help you reach these goals. If you have any questions about myself or my services on Italki, you can check my teacher page, or you can send me a message. I have two types of students: regular students and irregular students. Regular students must have a minimum of one lesson a week. They can book lessons anytime, and should book lessons more than a week in future to make sure they get the time/date they want for the next week. I also take irregular students, but these students can't request lessons more than a week in the future.
