Jessie Expert TOPIK

With the TOPIK exam a few months away, Jessie 선생님 has really given me atleast three hours worth exam knowledge in an hour, plus so much homework which I love😁. I’m feeling super confident about the exam now.

I was referred by a friend that passed level 6 of TOPIK 2 through taking lessons with Jessie. I've been taking lessons with Jessie for over 3 months now in order to prepare for my first time taking the TOPIK 2, in which I'm aiming to pass level 6 (the highest level). Lessons with Jessie are always fun and informative, and she really caters the lesson to each individual. She has created a curriculum to prepare me for taking the TOPIK based on when I want to take the test. I also feel that the homework assignments and study materials are really useful.

I once again had two great back to back sessions with Jessie today where we did a ton of TOPIK II Question 53 practice problems. When I first started studying for the exam, the writing section was the most intimidating section for me yet today at the end of class, I told Jessie that question #53 might actually be my favorite section now after all of the drilling we did today and that's only because she was able to provide me with superb guidance. Jessie really is familiar with all of the previous tests and TOPIK trends which allows her to give expert advice and instruction. I can feel that she really cares about me as a student and wants to see me succeed which fuels me to study even harder. She is also super encouraging in our lessons which really helps soothes my anxiety making me more excited for our next lessons than I was when we first started. Overall, Jessie really is a great teacher and with her help, I have confidence I can do well on the TOPIK II Exam. :)

Having learnt Korean for 10 years, today’s first class was one of the most interesting, fun and engaging classes I have had yet. We had first read an article sharing on an issue faced in Korea which formed a base for a debate (토론) like exercise. At the end of each mini discussion, we had a short summary and review of the points and at the end, had joined it together as a mini speech/ report which would be excellent practice for anyone wanting to take TOPIK or improve overall conversation in Korean (especially in sharing thoughts on current news and controversial topics). Overall, would recommend this class highly to any mid/high-intermediate and advanced students as it’s a class that is very focused on helping you express your own thoughts but with slight tweaks and improvements. Thank you for the brilliant class!

Lots of practice on listening with careful and detailed explanation on what to pay attention to. Very useful information and extremely good exercises for approaching TOPIK II

The lesson was 100% focused on reviewing homework on listening exercises. Jessie gives very good methods to improve the listening skills for TOPIK, I really appreciate the change of homework to improve on different parts of learning the language!
