This was my first time using italki, and I'm also just starting out with Telugu, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Dr. Chandra Sekhar made it such an easy, encouraging start. He's incredibly patient and friendly with a beginner like me and explains things in a way that builds your confidence right from the first lesson. You can tell he genuinely knows the language inside out, and he has a real gift for making it feel approachable rather than intimidating. Would happily recommend him to anyone starting out with Telugu.

I have been taking Telugu conversation lessons with Aswani once a week for about a year now. She is patient, knowledgeable, and makes every lesson enjoyable. She explains the main grammar concepts for conversations in an easy way, and we practice these concepts along with vocabulary during our lessons. Thanks to her guidance, I’ve made noticeable progress with both speaking and understanding Telugu.

Sailaja is helping me transcribe my interviews in Telugu. I am finding the process invaluable for learning about the Telugu language and culture, and Sailaja takes the opportunity to explain linguistically relevant points which come up in the recordings.

Mr. Sam is an exceptional teacher. He teaches at a pace that maximizes content covered, while still leaving time for questions and elaborations. Every lesson I learn so much more than I expect, and I always feel good after the lesson. I look forward to our future Telegu lessons!

I highly recommend Sravani, Telugu teacher for newcomers. Her teaching style is both engaging and effective. I have seen significant improvement in my 9-year-old son, who is now attempting to speak telugu and has started writing letters. If you are looking to learn Telugu, both speaking and writing, this teacher is an excellent choice.

My lessons with Ruchika are my favorite part of my week. I am learning Telegu to be able to converse with my fiance's family, and she is very good at customizing our classes to my needs. She is professional, knowledgeable and fun to speak with, and I always leave my classes smiling. Manu goes above and beyond to make her own materials and teach people in logical steps to get people speaking quickly. We have progressed quickly because she makes new rules easy to learn. She has an upbeat attitude that makes it fun to come to lessons!

Great lesson with Akhila! We practiced asking and answering questions (in past, present and future). I definitely needed the practice, and it was a good decision from Akhila to do this. Akhila also did a good job of making sure to keep things simple while I'm getting the basics down!
