Каждые пять минут сдержанным гулом начинал ходить дом, затем громада дыма вздымалась перед окном, заслоняя белый берлинский день, медленно расплывалась, и тогда виден был опять веер полотна, суживающийся вдаль, между черных задних стен, словно срезанных, домов, и над всем этим небо, бледное как миндальное молоко..."
