In this episode, I introduce myself in N2～N1 Japanese. Sentences are more complex and the vocabulary I'm using is almost the native level. Though I wrote it's for advanced learners, also other learners can try it!

Introduction (Advanced level)

La famille de Marc s’appelle Dupont. Madame Dupont est la mère de Marc et Monsieur Dupont est le père de Marc. Ils habitent à Paris dans un immeuble de six étages. Aujourd’hui à Paris, il y a des immeubles de quarante étages.
L’appartement de Monsieur et Madame Dupont est confortable, mais il n’a pas l’air conditionné.
Dans l’appartement, il y a un salon immense avec vue sur la Seine et la tour Eiffel. Dans le salon, il y a un piano et trois portraits de famille. Un des portraits est de la mère de Marc.
Dans la chambre de Marc il y a un lit, deux lampes, quatre chaises, une télé et une guitare.
Marc a un frère. Il s’appelle Jean. Il n’a pas de sœurs. La chambre de Marc est à côté de la chambre de Jean. La chambre de Jean est à côté du salon.
Le père de Marc est pilote. Il est un des pilotes d’Air France. La mère de Marc est chef de cuisine dans un restaurant chic.

I want you to notice what happens right before you speak English.

Not while you’re speaking.
Right before.

There’s a moment — sometimes half a second, sometimes longer —
where you stop.

In that moment, you’re not silent.
You’re busy.

You’re checking grammar.
You’re searching for vocabulary.
You’re arranging the sentence in your head.

That moment is not preparation.

It’s hesitation training.

Native speakers don’t do this.
Not because they’re smarter —
but because they don’t build sentences before speaking.

They start…
and finish while speaking.

Hoy tenemos ejemplos sencillos para comprender la diferencia entre los verbos  SENTIR, como un verbo "normal", y SENTIRSE, que termina en "SE", y es pronominal. Entonces usamos los pronombres reflexivos para conjugar sentIRSE y claro, eso tiene un efecto en su significado... bueno.. su toque de locura y allí está la diferencia.

¿Hablamos de eso?. Claro. Y como siempre te invito a escribir tus propias oraciones y luego... a USAR todo esto que repasas aquí.

1.4 Как американцы отвечают: "Как дела?"

Здравствуйте. Это четвёртый эпизод подкаста "Глубинный народ", взгляд на культуру России из провинции.  

У школьных учителей в России есть такая шутка.

"Попробуйте ответить на вопрос. Как правильно сказать: у рыбов нет зубов, у рыбей нет зубей или у рыб нет зуб?"

В этой шутке мы видим три окончания формы родительного падежа множественного числа существительных:
-ов (-ев): столов, компьютеров, платьев;
-ей: морей, мышей, дочерей;
нулевое окончание: башен, вишен, туч.

Эта форма очень трудна, потому что закономерности выбора окончания хотя и существуют, но их очень много — и они непоследовательны.

В советской "Песне о Родине" есть такие строки:

"Широка страна моя родная, 
Много в ней лесов, полей и рек."

Во второй строке мы также видим те же окончания.
