People are throwing out all sorts of suggestions—even ones you know at first glance are unfeasible. That’s divergent thinking. You’re spitballing ideas without any rules or restrictions.

Now that you have that long list of lofty ambitions, what happens next? In an ideal world, it’s convergent thinking.
