One day, his grandson asked, "Grandpa, why don't you throw that cup away?" The old man smiled. "Do you see this crack? Your grandmother made tea for me in this cup on the day we first met. If the cup had stayed perfect, I might have forgotten that day." The boy looked at the cup again. It was still cracked, but somehow it seemed beautiful.
