Well, Maybe I'm not the best person to give u this tip as I have been trying myself to learn urdu for years now but still didn't get to that point in which I can call myself a native Urdu speaker, But a friend of mine told me about someone's experince of learning Urdu within a few months and he had two ways 

1) A strong motivation: You should have a strong reason for learning the language this way you won't give up in the middle of the road or take it easy :)

2) Force your self to speak the language: Whenever you are about to start the class just Don't use any English words at all, Force yourself to speak in Urdu and in Urdu only this way you will be able to know more words and memorize them easily :)
