I prefer to learn English by writing essays.

Reading many materials in English is a time-consuming job. Many people may gradully get bored with it. I personally do not like to turn to a dictionary over and over while I am reading, which is really tiring. So, reading is not a pratical way to improve English efficiently.

Conversely, writing, I think is a good solution to learn English. A friend of mine told me that reading and listening is a kind of "in" practice, which is outdated; while writing is a shortcut of learning English, because it is an "out" practice. Writing is a form of expressing one's ideas to the outside world.

So, I think writing is a better way to achieve success and progress in learning English.

I have been trying to find the best way to learn English such as reading, watching movies or listening to music. I prefer watching movies because I am not that interested in music. When I read English there are too many words that I don’t know. I have to constantly stop and look them up in the dictionary and this means I lose interest in what I am reading.

Recently I saw that a friend of mine was writing something in English every day. That reminded me that when I was a high school student, that was how I studied English. It was really very helpful to me. When you read it is a passive process but when you write it is an active process. <em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">??????Not exactly sure what you are trying to say here. </em>It is a great way to learn and in addition people will correct your work just like your teacher did at school.

Learning English=write something , for me, I like  to learn English in this way!

About Learing English, I try to find the right way to learn English.For exmple, reading ,seeing the movie ,listening to the music,but I prefer seeing the movie,because I am not that interested in music. And I don't like to read much either, because I need to constantly turn to a dictionary. By doing it over and over, I lose interest.
but I saw a friend wirte note everyday,which reminded me that I am a student in middle study(in middle school or in intermediate stage of learning), and a shortcut to learn English efficiently.I mean that is very helpful for me, reading is an outdated way of learning English. you know reading is "in",somethings you don't wanna in,you want say something out.It's great way.And the people will correction your note like a teacher in scholl.Thank you guys.Have a nice day! ：）
