Is English the only foreing language worth learning?
Despite the fact of that English is became becoming one of the most important language to for communicate communicating all around the World, I strongly disagree with the statement that English is the "only" foreign language worth learning.
Firstly, they are other important languages, such Chinese, Spanish, Arabic, German or French, which are spoken for millions of people.
Secondly, if you are really interested in knowing the real essence of a foreign culture, you have to learn its language.
Finally, although English is became becoming the language of business, and traveling in our modern life, in my opinion life is much more that than merely make only making money, and Culture makes us wealthier and more tolerant.
In conclusion, I believe that although they there are a lot of reasons for learning English, we should never do make the huge mistake to of rejecting the other languages, which are spoken for by millions of people inhabitants, and think they are less important than English.
Great job, Arantza. My only "serious" question is about the last clause in the last paragraph, which is a little confusing. Do you mean that the speakers of languages besides English regard their native languages as less important? Or that English speakers view those other languages as less important?
