Comprar flores - Buying flowers

In Córdoba, it is common to see flower-sellers selling a single rose or a carnation, in every restaurant. You can give flowers to anyone on any occasion here, even when you don't have a really good reason for doing so. The best day to give a flower as a gift is Women's Day on March 8th, which is a very important day for every woman in Agentina. You can give any kind of flowers and in any number of them as a present, but callas are related to usually for funerals. Anyway, Somebody once gave me a calla and I didn't think about my death. It's such a beautifull flower! Anyway, that is what happens in the city.

There is an special behavior about attitude towards ecology in my country. I am from the mountains, and we never, never, never!! give a cut flower as a present; it is an insult in my region. Please be careful: if you want to give a flower to an Argentine, first ask from what part of Argentina your friend is, and what he or she thinks about ecology.
