When are you supposed to use present perfect or present perfect progressive?
I do not know how to use present perfect or present perfect progressive. I do not know when to use either one.

Don't forget that we use the present perfect when the time is unknown or unimportant eg Have you been to Mexico? Yes I have been to Mexico. In this example, we are not concerned with the time, we merely want to know if the action has been done or not. We would then use the simple past tense as follows: I went to Mexico in 2011.

Haha I had to look up these tenses because I didn't remember what they meant :).
Okay so if you use the verb to walk:
Present perfect: “I have walked”
Present perfect progressive: “I have been walking”
“I have walked to my house.” I’m saying that I already walked to my house.
“I have been walking to my house for two minutes.” I’m saying that I have already been walking for two minutes and I’m still walking. So I would say that perfect is when you've completed an action and progressive is when you’re still doing it. Also, when I hear present perfect progressive in my head it kind of sounds like whining, such as “I have (or I've) been waiting for two hours and you still aren't here.”
