A Childish Mother

An old Chinese saying is "old and small ", which means the that old people may behave like kids. I think it is true for my mother.

After the Spring Festival, my mother's leg hurt so much that she couldn't walk. My husband and I took her to hospital and the doctor said that she needed to stay in the hospital. She had been to staying in the hospital for one week, and I often went to the hospital to take care of her.

When she almost recovered (*As she neared recovery*) , she went came back to home. And I suddenly discovered found that she was a little bit dependent on me and my husbands and I. Because our apartment is only 5 minutes walking  distance  (*is only a 5 minute walk*) from her apartment, she asked us to have dinner with her and my father everyday. We agreed. So, we firstly go to her apartment to cook dinner and have dinner with her and my father after we get off the work. (*After we get off work, the first thing we do is go to her apartment to prepare dinnner, then join them dinner.*) 

She often stands against (*next to*) the window of the balcony, and happily calls my name when she see me, just like a child waiting for his or her (*their*) mother to comeing home. I feel strongly felt that she hopesed to have us around her. (*to keep us around / to keep us close to*)

It might be true that old people (*elderly*) return to be as weak as children. They need concerns care and protection from their children, just like children need care concerns and protection from their parents.

It might be true that old the elderly people return to be as weak as go back to acting like children. They need concerns and protection from need to be cared for by their children, just like children need concerns and protection expect care from their parents.
